Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the passing of Benjamin Satterley, a prominent All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star, who died at 40. Known as Adrian Neville in WWE and later as Pac in AEW, Satterley joined AEW in 2019 after a stint in WWE. He achieved multiple championship titles in both organizations over his wrestling career.
Johnson addressed his followers on Instagram, extending love and condolences to the Satterley family. He remarked on the global nature of professional wrestling and highlighted the close bond shared among wrestlers, who are united by their passion for the sport. “We’re still a very tight-knit unit,” he stated, emphasizing the collective grief felt when a talented young wrestler’s life is cut short.
He specifically reached out to AEW owner Tony Khan, wrestler QT Marshall, and the AEW community, expressing his sympathy for their loss. “For the Satterley family, I wish you love and light as you endure this pain and stay strong,” Johnson added.
Johnson, a board member of TKO, WWE’s parent company, noted WWE’s tribute to Neville aired before “Monday Night Raw.” Meanwhile, AEW scheduled a tribute special of “Dynamite” to honor Satterley. The wrestling world mourned as news spread of his untimely death in Illinois, shortly after performing at the All Out event.
Satterley’s legacy in the wrestling world remains through his celebrated performances and titles. His contributions to both WWE and AEW continue to be remembered by fans and colleagues.
