Brandi Glanville, a well-known reality star, is making strides in her health journey by opting for surgery. On her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast, she shared details about the upcoming procedure. Scheduled for Friday, she will undergo an exploratory surgery performed by Dr. Carlo Honrado.
“Dr. Carlo Honrado is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin,” Glanville explained. She mentioned her speculation about “fungal balls” or an underlying condition that seemed to move.
Glanville expressed mixed emotions about this surgery. It is her first facial surgery, described as more intensive than a facelift. Despite concerns, Glanville remains hopeful. Dr. Honrado comes recommended, and the cost is approximately $5,000, which she hopes will resolve the persisting issue.
Her health struggle began in her face and jawbone, eventually affecting her head and neck, and now her spine. The doctor believes removing the source will simplify further treatment.
“It started in my face, my cheek and my jawbone, and then it went over my head back in my neck. Now it’s down my spine,” she elaborated.
In 2023, Glanville suspected she contracted a parasite during a visit to Morocco, experiencing facial paralysis. Initially, she was diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema. Recently, she disclosed that her conditions include ESBL Klebsiella, Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis or Valley fever, Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. Treatment requires costly daily IV treatments.
In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Glanville opened up about financial difficulties due to medical expenses, which led her to participate in “Special Forces.” The cost of healthcare left her in debt despite having insurance.
“The medical system here is broken,” she shared. Creditor calls have become a regular occurrence. She exhausted her savings and 401(k) on medical bills, leaving her financial stability in jeopardy.
Glanville joined the show to regain confidence and financial stability, highlighting her need to prove herself once more.
“I just want this s— out of my body,” Glanville stated. “I want my health back. I want my life back. I want to feel like me again.”
