Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez officially became husband and wife in a quiet civil ceremony held on Tuesday. According to Ronaldo’s public relations team, the event was described as “a private and intimate moment attended by their five children.”
The ceremony took place in Cascais, a charming coastal town located in western Portugal, near Lisbon. The announcement was made by the Brunswick Group, representing Ronaldo.
After the ceremony, both Ronaldo and Rodriguez shared a picture on their Instagram accounts featuring their wedding rings, symbolizing their union.
The couple has shared their lives for a decade, having met in Madrid years ago. Ronaldo, now 41, has a celebrated career in soccer, recognized as a five-time world player of the year. He participated in his sixth World Cup for Portugal, a record-tying achievement.
Ronaldo’s current team, Al Nassr from Saudi Arabia, is preparing to start its domestic season on Saturday.
