AEW Pays Tribute to Late Wrestler Pac

Hearts were heavy on Wednesday’s “Dynamite” as All Elite Wrestling and its roster remembered Pac, who passed away at age 40. Benjamin Satterley, known to fans as Pac, died Sunday shortly after AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event.

Wrestlers gathered on stage as broadcaster Tony Schiavone shared heartfelt remarks about Pac. Neville, later known as Pac, enters the ring Schiavone then introduced a powerful promo by Jon Moxley, given after his AEW World Championship match loss to Will Ospreay.

Surrounded by his Death Riders teammates, Moxley reflected on giving his all in the ring and the inevitability of losing in wrestling and life. Moxley emphasized learning to handle losses, whether in opportunities or relationships. He remarked on the privilege of performing in front of sold-out crowds and expressed that each day is a gift.

Moxley acknowledged Ospreay as the better fighter that night. Transitioning to broader themes, Moxley challenged those in the industry to recognize the potential for greatness in professional wrestling. Emphasizing future generations, Moxley urged his contemporaries to seize opportunities within the sport.

Pac’s final appearance on AEW cameras was noted by Schiavone. After Moxley finished his promo, he and teammates Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia left the stage, with Pac soon following.

Later in the evening, Moxley defended his AEW Continental Championship against Orange Cassidy. A chair was placed in remembrance of Pac. Moxley emerged victorious, retaining the title.

Following the match, AEW legend Bryan Danielson entered. Emotional, Danielson joined Moxley in a symbolic embrace, honoring Pac despite their past rivalries. This moment underscored the camaraderie and respect shared among wrestlers.
