Toy Story 5’s Digital Release and Bonus Features

The Toy Story series has captivated audiences for years. Toy Story 5 continued this tradition, achieving great success at the box office and receiving critical acclaim when released in June. For fans eager to see what was left out of the final cut, the anticipation builds as the release of bonus features approaches.

Toy Story 5 will be available digitally on August 18, and on 4K UHD/Blu-ray disc by September 22. An exclusive treat includes a deleted scene revealed by Newsweek. In this scene, Buzz Lightyear observes a group of ‘humanoids’ on a camping expedition. This scene is one among many extras accessible with the digital and 4K UHD/Blu-ray release.

The bonus content includes a behind-the-scenes documentary on the film’s production, a featurette highlighting new cast members Conan O’Brien and Greta Lee, and a popular gag reel. Additionally, the digital release will feature a Taylor Swift music video for ‘I Knew It, I Knew You.’

Fans will also appreciate the limited edition 4K SteelBook, available on September 22, which is aesthetically impressive enough to be a display piece. Disney enthusiasts know the value of owning these discs adds to their collection as much as any merchandise does.

Releasing around award season is strategic, as Toy Story 5 is expected to compete in several categories, including Best Original Song for Taylor Swift, and possibly even Best Picture. This timing allows fans to revisit the film, enjoying Pixar’s well-crafted animation and emotional moments.
