Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry embarked on a European family trip, attracting attention with their reunion with King Charles. On July 23, the Duchess of Sussex shared moments from their ‘summer holiday’ via Instagram.
Accompanied by Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, the family of four seemed to explore Portugal, notably the Alentejo region. Photos inside a restaurant feature a sign reflecting this. Their adventures included time spent at the beach, countryside, and pool. Harry appeared in pool images, donning a backwards baseball cap while playfully flipping his daughter.
Meghan captured additional moments from the sand as Harry and the children approached a wave. She also showcased a view of her family in a garden, ensuring their children’s privacy by obscuring their faces.
One standout photo shows Archie seated in a plane cockpit, guided by pilots. Harry carries his aviation experience from serving in the British Armed Forces, flying as an Apache helicopter pilot for the Army Air Corps.
Meghan also spent leisure time with their rescue beagle, Mamma Mia.
The release of these vacation snapshots followed a reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla nearly two weeks prior. This marked a significant moment after four years, facilitated by negotiations around security and accommodations.
On July 10, the family gathered at Highgrove House, the private residence of Charles and Camilla in Gloucestershire, England, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace and reported by the BBC.
The reunion was notable, especially after Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, withdrew from their senior royal roles owing to ongoing security concerns expressed since their move to California in 2020.
