An event during the WNBA Finals attracted public attention when a social media influencer attempted to engage Angel Reese. Tiki, a content creator with over 479,000 TikTok followers, made a public gesture at Game 3 between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries. Dressed in a tuxedo and holding a sign, he made his intention clear while Reese was poised at the foul line.
“Angel, I love you,” Tiki shouted.
The sign read, “Angel, will you marry me?” Reese, known for her defensive skills, did not reciprocate the gesture favorably.
Reese, #5 of the Atlanta Dream, made her reaction known with a comment on Tiki’s video. While she humorously dismissed the proposal, she noted her friends as potential alternatives:
“Not in this lifetime, but I have some fine friendsssss,” Reese wrote.
Tiki’s attempt came during a tightly contested series. The Dream had secured an important win on the road, and competitive play was evident in Games 3 and 4. The score tightened as Golden State clinched a victory with a 67-62 win, leveling the series.
Reese’s performances were notable with a peak in Game 2, scoring 30 points and securing 16 rebounds. However, Game 4 saw a dip, as Reese managed only eight points and nine rebounds, hitting 2-of-12 from the field.
The decisive Game 5 is scheduled for Monday evening in California, offering another chance for Reese and her team as they continue their battle against the Golden State Valkyries.
