Chris Evins expressed his natural reaction in a critical moment, stating, “I reacted the way I would hope anybody would, and while I’m glad we were there to help, it sucks that we had to.” This incident took place on November 7, 2025.

During a visit to an amusement park in Kansas City, Missouri, Chris and Cassie Evins stepped in to assist where needed. Cassie, who has been enjoying the tallest roller coaster in the park for over twenty years, experienced her first real scare when she noticed a young girl in distress. A malfunction in the girl’s seat belt required immediate action during a ride on October 11.

Cassie has extensive experience with this roller coaster, having ridden it more than 150 times. Her rides previously ended with exhilaration and joy, despite fleeting fears of falling. This occasion, however, was different. Her quick thinking helped avert a potentially dangerous situation.
