A former Pentagon official involved in investigating unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAPs) has highlighted new government documents as evidence of the U.S. taking UAPs seriously as a national security concern. These documents allegedly include claims about recovered “non-human” materials dating back decades.
Luis Elizondo, the official, discussed the information available in the latest data release on “Jesse Watters Primetime.” He emphasized the wealth of top-secret intelligence, some from the 1940s, that indicates the existence of UAPs. According to Elizondo, the government has long treated this issue seriously, often going to great lengths to cover it up. The current administration is making strides in transparency on this subject, he added.
“The reality is that this is a topic that our government has been taking very seriously for a very long time. We’d go to extreme lengths to try to cover it up,” Elizondo stated.
The documents released form part of the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) program, initiated under President Trump. This program aims to offer greater transparency to the American public on UAP matters.
Elizondo noted that the files suggest the presence of extraterrestrial material and emphasize the seriousness of the issue. He mentioned UAPs have been detected over U.S. airspace and have evaded the capabilities of military equipment. He speculated that Cold War tensions might have contributed to the secrecy surrounding these findings, as the government likely wanted to protect potential technological advantages and avoid exposing any security vulnerabilities.
“But I think the times have changed, and a lot of the old reasoning, I don’t think, is valid anymore,” he remarked.
Elizondo believes the public deserves transparency and can handle the truth. He stressed that acknowledging these findings will be challenging, impacting philosophical, psychological, theological, and sociological perspectives.
