Dan Orlovsky, an ESPN NFL analyst, shared the tragic news of his brother-in-law, Federico Lascano, who passed away suddenly at the age of 43 over the weekend. Federico was married to Orlovsky’s sister, Christine. In a heartfelt social media post, Orlovsky described Federico’s passing as an “unimaginable tragedy.”
“There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing a husband, a partner, and a father so suddenly,” Orlovsky expressed on X. Christine now faces the daunting task of adjusting to life as a single parent, dealing with the financial and emotional challenges while helping her sons cope with their father’s loss.
In response to this tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched. The funds aim to support the family with daily living expenses, bills, and groceries. Additionally, the campaign seeks to assist Christine as she transitions to being the sole financial provider, covering her boys’ educational costs and essential life expenses.
“No family should have to face this kind of heartbreak, and no one should have to worry about how they will manage financially while trying to put the pieces of their lives back together,” the campaign statement said.
Generous contributions have flowed into the GoFundMe, surpassing $84,000 at the time of publication. Donors include notable figures such as Andrew Whitworth, Diana Taurasi, Chris Mara, Jason McCourty, and Brian Flores.
The couple’s relationship dates back to their college days, emphasizing the deep connection they shared. As Christine steps into her new role as the sole provider for her three boys, the community’s support aims to alleviate the family’s financial strain, allowing them to focus on healing.
While Dan Orlovsky recently appeared on “NFL Live” on Wednesday, details regarding Federico Lascano’s cause of death remain unknown. The family continues to navigate this profound loss.
