Family Demands Justice for Tragic Death of 12-Year-Old

New York City faces increased scrutiny over crime policies following the death of 12-year-old Jacob Freytes. He was killed by a stray bullet in the Bronx. The victim’s mother, Migdalia Martinez, and sister, Angelica Coriano, appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ to call for justice and criticize the suspect’s extensive arrest history. Martinez expressed concern that career criminals feel safer than ever.

North Dakota Tragedy: Mother Accused of Killing Children

A North Dakota mother, Kailey Erhart, aged 22, is accused of fatally stabbing her 5-month-old and 3-year-old children. The incident also left a 1-year-old child seriously injured. According to police, the attack was distressing for all involved, including the responding officers. Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler acknowledged the horrific nature of the crime scene.

The children’s father, who was in the process of filing for divorce, was present at home during the incident. Earlier, Erhart threatened him with a gun she recently purchased, but he managed to disarm her. Witnesses say Erhart chased away the father and the children’s grandmother with a knife before the killings occurred.

Erhart faces nine charges, including two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Her bond is set at $3 million due to the severe nature of the charges and potential threat to the community.

Community Support and Legal Proceedings

A GoFundMe campaign has collected over $25,000 to support the children and their father. The fundraiser, organized by the father’s mother, emphasizes the family’s deep grief and the ongoing medical care required for the surviving child. Erhart’s preliminary hearing and arraignment are scheduled for October 6.
