Ron DeSantis has been popular for his approach during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he will not be on the ballot in the upcoming November elections. The Republican candidate for governor, Rep. Byron Donalds, backed by President Trump, may face challenges. Although he won the primary, he did not gain the majority of Republican votes. Republicans need to reconsider their strategy. Personal attacks in politics should be replaced by addressing issues significant to the working class. Donalds’ candidacy requires scrutiny, and his success is uncertain. Despite being the favorite, shocks in November remain plausible.
