A University of Maryland student, Dilan Shaan Ashar, was located after being missing for six days. On Wednesday evening, Ashar approached a search-and-rescue vehicle and asked if the rescue team was looking for him. His disappearance began on October 2 near a parking garage close to a heavily wooded area.
The search for Ashar had been ongoing, and his discovery brought relief to those involved in the efforts to locate him. A flyer with his details had been distributed as part of the search efforts. The student was 22 years old at the time of his disappearance.
