President Donald Trump announced plans to attend the college football matchup between No. 7 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia. He shared this during a campaign rally at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. The game is set for Oct. 10 at Bryant-Denny Stadium, with a broadcast on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Both teams remain undefeated and are contenders for the national championship. Trump also watched Alabama play against LSU at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Nov. 9, 2019. Alabama and Georgia faced each other twice last season. Georgia won the SEC Championship Game 28-7 after losing 21-24 to Alabama during the regular season.
Trump attended a previous game between these teams in 2024. Alabama led with a 28-point advantage, ending with a 41-34 win. He was present with several Republican leaders.
Trump’s upcoming visit marks his third appearance at Bryant-Denny Stadium for a football game. He attended Alabama’s 46-41 defeat to LSU in 2019 and delivered a commencement address at the University of Alabama in May 2025. Trump frequently attends significant sporting events; recently attending Texas vs. Tennessee, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and the FIFA World Cup final.
In 2025, Trump was the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. He also attended the Daytona 500, the U.S. Open men’s final, the Ryder Cup, the Army-Navy game, and several UFC events.
