Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken from federal prison for medical attention early Saturday following a head injury, as reported by TMZ. A representative informed Newsweek that efforts are underway to verify the incident.
The representative stated, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Sources at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey indicated that an ambulance left with Combs from the prison at about 1 a.m. It remains unknown how Combs sustained the injury, and confirmation of hospital transport has not been provided. TMZ noted that Combs was conscious and able to speak when he returned before sunrise.
Combs faces various criminal charges and civil allegations, including sexual assault, sex trafficking, physical abuse, and coercive conduct, all of which he contends are untrue. In July 2025, he was acquitted by a federal jury of the severe charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. However, he was convicted on two counts related to transportation for prostitution. The rap and fashion mogul is serving a 50-month sentence and is expected to be released on March 2, 2028.
Details of Conviction
In 2025, Combs was convicted under the Mann Act for transporting two women—identified in court as Cassie Ventura and “Jane”—for prostitution purposes. He was cleared of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, which could have led to extensive penalties.
Combs is additionally involved in over 70 lawsuits across the nation, including recent claims from former employees, partners, and a former child actor.
