On Monday morning, student protests in France led to the shooting of two teachers. The incident has prompted concerns over escalating violence within the country.
The National Education system reported that at least eight staff members were injured during these demonstrations. Notably, this count excludes both the principal of a middle school and a teacher who suffered from a shotgun blast in Aubagne.
The Ministry of Education expressed alarm at the increasing violence, noting that it is predominantly focused in the Créteil academy, as well as in the cities of Bordeaux and Lyon.
This is an ongoing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
