Owner of Iconic ‘Trump House’ in California Dies After Attack

4 weeks ago 0

The owner of a well-known pro-America and Trump-themed home in Southern California has died following a severe attack by a stranger. The police announced on Sunday that Kerry Sheron, 69, passed away after being in critical condition for several days.

Sheron, a U.S. Army veteran, lived in Escondido, California, and decorated his home with American flags and Trump memorabilia. The attack took place outside his property, which had faced complaints and vandalism over the years.

Deputy District Attorney Ross Garcia described the attack as vicious. The suspect, 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler, allegedly punched Sheron in the jaw, causing him to fall. Butler then reportedly struck Sheron multiple times in the head, according to NBC 7.

Butler was apprehended without incident and has been charged with attempted murder. The San Diego County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case to see if the charges will be amended.

A friend mentioned that Butler, a Navy veteran, suffers from PTSD. Despite taking medication, his condition seemed to worsen. The California Post reported Butler’s paranoia, as he believed others were out to harm him.

The assault occurred around 2:15 p.m. on a Wednesday at East Mission Avenue and Buchanan Street, near the famed “Trump House.” Officers found Sheron with significant injuries, and a bystander who tried to intervene was also hurt.

Maria Garcia, Sheron’s wife, had expressed doubts about his survival. She believed the attack had a political motive due to the flags and Trump’s support. “They don’t like the flags,” she told CBS 8, emphasizing her support for America and her husband’s service as a veteran.
