Michelle Monaghan, a 50-year-old actress, is enjoying a trip to Indonesia. She shared vacation photos from the tropical destination, showing herself in a colorful bikini in the clear blue water.
The actress kicked off her Instagram post with a playful image of herself standing thigh-deep in the sea, arms stretched out, and tongue out. Monaghan wore a multicolored triangle bikini with tie-side bottoms and gold accents, complemented by a large sun hat. A serene shoreline and hills formed the backdrop under a clear sky.
Her caption read: “Brb maxxed out 🇮🇩.” Another photo showed Monaghan in a relaxed pose, basking in the turquoise water with her wide-brimmed hat.
In a different image, Monaghan gazed down at the water as she moved further from shore. The “Mission: Impossible III” star appeared to celebrate, raising both arms while standing in shallow water with a cup in one hand.
Fans adored her vacation photos, with comments expressing admiration and excitement for her adventure. One praised Monaghan’s look, while another called the setting her “natural habitat.”
The trip marks Monaghan’s second visit to Indonesia, mentioned during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” “We love a big adventure,” Monaghan shared, referring to her family’s previous trip.
Having first visited for a surfing trip, Monaghan missed seeing the famous Komodo dragons. Inspired by a conversation with Robert De Niro, Monaghan planned a return to Indonesia to visit Komodo National Park.
“We’re going back to Indonesia, and we’re going to Komodo National Park,” Monaghan said during her planning.
Monaghan has been open about her active lifestyle at 50. In a conversation with Fox News Digital, she reflected on how turning 50 influenced her approach to health and fitness.
“I sort of look at that number and find it hard to believe,” she said.
Describing her milestone, she stated: “Turning 50 was an opportunity to be intentional with the things I do, the people I spend time with, and how I spend time myself.”
Monaghan mentioned feeling stronger now compared to her 30s. This strength is supported by her emphasis on strength training during midlife.
“Strength training is of utmost importance,” Monaghan said, highlighting her routine, which includes strength training three times a week, along with walking, hiking, jogging, and Pilates.
“Pilates incorporates flexibility and breath,” she added.
