Kamala Harris Supports David Crowley in Wisconsin Campaign

Former Vice President Kamala Harris visited Wisconsin to support Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Crowley. This comes as his campaign faces challenges, according to Republican opponent Rep. Tom Tiffany.

Harris joined Crowley in Milwaukee just over a week before Election Day. She addressed supporters, acknowledging the range of emotions many have experienced, including anger, sadness, and fear. “I know how much pain people are in,” she stated at Milwaukee’s Pfister Hotel.

For the last year and a half, I know many of us have been going through a whole lot of emotion: anger, sadness, disappointment, destruction, depression, all kinds of emotions. And we’ve been feeling powerless. People have been feeling like, ‘I can’t do anything about this.’ And I know how much pain people are in. I know how it is creating so much fear among so many communities of people.

Rep. Tiffany expressed that Harris’s support signals a need to energize Crowley’s base, highlighting perceived struggles in motivating Democratic voters due to pervasive national political fatigue.

“This is clearly a move indicating they’re struggling to mobilize their base. David Crowley has not excited the base,” Tiffany told Fox News Digital.

Critics suggest Crowley was handpicked by Democratic leaders, drawing parallels to challenges Harris faced during her own presidential campaign. They criticize his being chosen over more progressive candidates like State Rep. Francesca Hong, whom he narrowly defeated in the primary.

“Once again, the Democrats chose someone rather than letting democratic processes play within their party,” Tiffany commented. “It’s frustrating for many.” Tiffany presents himself as a commonsense candidate, criticizing Crowley for local economic conditions.

“It’s not in his DNA to reduce costs or taxes in Wisconsin,” Tiffany claimed. “He has increased taxes as county executive, which is not popular with voters.”

A spokesperson for Crowley’s campaign disputed these claims, emphasizing Crowley’s effort to lower costs amid inflation and criticizing Tiffany’s association with the Trump administration.

“David Crowley is actively discussing plans to make life affordable for families impacted by Rep. Tiffany and Trump’s economic policies,” the spokesperson stated. “As county executive, David balanced the budget and lowered property taxes annually.”
