3 weeks ago 0

Jake Paul’s recent fight against Anthony Joshua could mark the end of his boxing career. The YouTuber-turned-boxer took on the former heavyweight champion in December and made it to the sixth round as an unexpected contender. However, he sustained a broken jaw during the fight, placing his career in jeopardy.

Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, indicated that the current plan involves Paul returning to the ring within the year. “He met with his specialists last Wednesday, and they gave a positive progress report. The idea is for him to resume sparring in two months,” Bidarian shared with Fox News Digital. “The key moment will be how he handles sparring. How does his jaw respond to contact?”

Considering a potential comeback in 2026, Bidarian added, “Our goal is for him to return in 2026, but everything depends on how he fares once he faces hits again.”

Paul told Ariel Helwani that retiring from boxing is possible, stating, “It depends on how the bone heals. Plus, I need a dental implant, which could delay my return. We have to weigh the options to determine the best path forward.”

Bidarian mentioned that Paul harbors no regrets about facing Joshua. Despite the challenges, the promoter noted, “He created another significant moment in the sport, proving himself against one of the top heavyweights of the past decade. In terms of performance, he went further than 18 opponents before him.”
