A French model scout known for organizing meetings between models and Jeffrey Epstein has been discovered dead in his Paris home. Authorities expect an autopsy to reveal the cause of death for Daniel Siad, found deceased at 69, according to French newspaper Le Monde. Siad’s attorney indicated that if his death was from a heart attack, it might be related to ‘anxiety he suffered daily’ due to investigations into his connections with Epstein, who died by suicide in jail in 2019.
US Department of Justice investigations revealed that Epstein, who was linked to prominent figures like former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump, paid Siad thousands of dollars. Siad reportedly utilized his industry links to assist Epstein. His name appeared numerous times in official records regarding Epstein.
Parisian prosecutors have been examining Siad since February for possible involvement in human trafficking and criminal conspiracy. Despite this, no arrest occurred before his death. Two women have claimed to CNN that Epstein abused them after being referred by Siad. Siad maintained that he never received complaints from anyone he connected with Epstein. He also believed Epstein had influence as a casting director at Victoria’s Secret, though CNN has found no evidence supporting this.
In a June interview, Siad expressed trust in Epstein due to his power. He acknowledged awareness of Epstein’s 2008 charge of soliciting prostitution but assumed the issue had been resolved. The two remained in contact after Epstein’s release from jail in 2009. Additionally, a model accused Siad of rape in the 1990s, which he denied.
