Details on Alleged UFC Terror Plot Targeting White House

6 days ago 0

New information has emerged regarding a suspected terror plan aimed at a UFC event near the White House. Authorities have apprehended five suspects across four states, accusing them of plotting attacks involving explosive drones, sniper ambushes, and more. Evidence collected includes firearms, ammunition, tactical equipment, and phone screenshots of possible targets.

Prosecutors have released the mugshots of all five suspects. Among them is one individual who was seen smiling, despite facing accusations of planning a “mass casualty event” targeting President Donald Trump and other key figures at the UFC Freedom 250 event held near the White House.

The arrests occurred this month as part of a coordinated operation spanning several states. Federal authorities had uncovered a plan involving drones armed with explosives, sniper groups, and safe houses to facilitate an attack at the event.

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro, stated that her office is not involved in the case despite its connection to a White House event. Pirro explained, “You have to have some kind of actual activity to bring a case.”

Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, of Omaha, Nebraska, was singled out by federal prosecutors as the alleged mastermind behind the plot targeting the UFC Freedom 250 event.

Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Ohio, is alleged to have compiled a list of 46 targets and spent about $3,000 of graduation money on weapons, ammunition, and tactical gear. Prosecutors assert that investigators found writings revealing extremist beliefs and plans related to the plot.

Bryan Omar Roa, 24, from California, was identified as one of the suspects involved. Prosecutors allege he took part in encrypted group communications used by the members to discuss their operation. Roa faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder.

Another suspect, Michael Alan Thomas, 32, of California, allegedly discussed contingency plans for co-conspirators’ escapes if any were arrested. Court documents indicate Thomas said, “We will try to break them out of jail if we need to.”

Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, from Kidder, Missouri, reportedly offered his property as a safe house and discussed building a concealed bunker. Investigators claim he was involved in dialogues about acquiring explosive materials.

Michael Thomas was arrested for alleged involvement in the plot, charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Charged documents reveal that Alvarez used coded language in encrypted chats regarding targets such as Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Elon Musk. The group supposedly planned to deploy explosive-laden drones over the White House UFC event to target officials and security personnel as evacuations occurred.

Further allegations suggest the attack strategy aimed to detonate drones over the crowd, forcing them towards a southern evacuation route where snipers lay in wait. Discussions reportedly also included acquiring military ordnance, as participants lacked explosive manufacturing expertise.

As the criminal case unfolds, it remains an example of thwarted potential violence against high-profile targets.
