CNN host Jake Tapper, who moderated the 2024 debate involving then-President Joe Biden, commented in a video that Jill Biden’s behavior did not indicate concern during their post-debate interaction. Jill Biden recently expressed her fear that Biden was having a stroke during the debate, a claim facing resistance from various political circles.
Tapper, who co-moderated the debate alongside Dana Bash, noted, “After the debate, she and the president approached the table, engaging in polite conversation. There was no hint of alarm in her demeanor.” This adds complexity to Jill Biden’s later statement that sparked reactions from both Democrats and Republicans.
Now, she tells us, that’s the response from lots of Democrats to former first lady Jill Biden, finally admitting that her husband’s debate performance in June 2024 was so bad that in her words, she at the time was frightened that President Biden was having a stroke on stage.
During a CBS interview, Jill Biden expressed her concern, stating, “I don’t know what happened. I thought, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke,’ and it scared me.” Yet on the debate night, her public demeanor suggested otherwise. She accompanied Biden to a Waffle House and praised his performance in front of an audience.
CNN host Abby Phillip criticized the Democratic Party following Jill Biden’s admission. She mentioned, “I appreciate that we now get to see at least some version of a truth that she’s putting out there,” emphasizing the need for transparency about the situation.
Jake Tapper co-authored a book titled “Original Sin,” exposing what he describes as a cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline, ultimately affecting his 2024 campaign.
