The event occurred when she found herself trapped and injured at home, alone with her two young children. Clery shared her ordeal on Instagram, revealing how a 600-pound fridge fell and pressed her against the counter.
Clery expressed her deepest fears coming true when the massive refrigerator fell on her. Despite the harrowing situation, she praised God and thanked the swift response of the first responders who rescued her. In her social media post, Clery mentioned, “I couldn’t move. Couldn’t breathe right.” She added that the fridge had pinned her so effectively she worried she might lose consciousness.

Laura Clery described preparing for bed when the refrigerator unexpectedly fell, trapping her against the counter. Her children were home, heightening her concern about their safety. Thankfully, her phone was within reach, allowing her to call 911 for assistance. Clery shared, “Thank God my phone was in my pocket and I was able to call 911. Thank God it didn’t fall on my kids. It took three firefighters to lift it off me. I’m still shaking.”
Documenting her rescue, Clery posted clips of firefighters moving her to safety. While wearing a neck brace in the ambulance, she expressed profound gratitude towards the first responders who arrived promptly. Clery noted their quick action, stating, “They got there so fast, broke through my garage door, and 3 of them pushed a 600-pound fridge off of me and got me safely to the trauma unit before things got worse.”
Reflecting on the incident, Clery emphasized her luck in escaping with no broken bones and having her children unharmed. She expressed deep appreciation for the kindness and heroism displayed by the firefighters, remarking, “They were calm, kind and just handled everything like absolute heroes!”
