The New York Giants suffered a 34-27 loss against the New Orleans Saints in their Week 6 matchup. Following this defeat, the Giants decided to make roster changes, releasing linebacker Jihad Ward.

As reported by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Giants cut ties with Ward, who had been signed from the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad. Ward, now 32 years old, will seek new opportunities in the NFL. During his brief stint with the Giants, he played in two games and recorded one solo tackle.

Previously, Ward demonstrated his capabilities with the Tennessee Titans, recording five sacks and 31 combined tackles over 17 games. His experience extends over 138 NFL games, where he amassed 24 sacks and 200 combined tackles. Teams needing seasoned players might consider adding Ward to their roster for his veteran expertise and depth.
