The Los Angeles Rams faced a narrow defeat against the Arizona Cardinals, with an 18-16 final score during their Week 6 meeting on Sunday. This setback ties the Rams with the Cardinals at the bottom of the NFC West standings, each holding a record of 2-4. The Rams are now looking to recover from this disappointing loss.
In response to the defeat, the Rams have chosen to add a seasoned player to their roster. As reported by ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, the team has signed veteran kicker Brandon McManus. This decision follows McManus’s workout session with the Rams on Tuesday.
With this addition, the Rams bring in a kicker with substantial NFL experience. McManus, at 35 years old, seeks to seize this opportunity to leave a positive mark with his new team.
Over 12 NFL seasons, McManus has played for the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Green Bay Packers. He successfully converted 297 of 362 field goal attempts, achieving an 82% success rate. Notably, in the 2024 season, he recorded a 95.2% field goal percentage over 11 games with the Packers.
Fans and analysts alike are eager to see how McManus will contribute to the Rams following this latest signing.
