The memoir also explores efforts in ‘restoring democracy’ post the January 6 Capitol attack.

Critical topics reflect on Mr. Biden’s decision-making during his presidency. A significant personal narrative involves explaining the choices he made regarding his re-election bid and his eventual decision to step aside. ‘Most of all, it’s about my faith in the promise of America,’ Mr. Biden expressed as he shared the intention behind his writing.

The title references Mr. Biden’s 2017 memoir, Promise Me, Dad, which focused on his relationship with his elder son, Beau, who died from brain cancer during Mr. Biden’s vice presidency.
