Jana Kramer, actress and singer, shares insights on finding joy after leaving toxic relationships. She explains that moving away from these negative situations improved her as a person and enhanced her appreciation for second chances in both personal and professional aspects of life. Her journey aligns with the theme of her new Lifetime movie, Where the Heart Lands.

Where the Heart Lands, starring Jana Kramer, delivers a powerful message about overcoming toxic relationships. Kramer states, “Leaving a toxic environment has made me a better person and a lighter one.”

The 42-year-old actress hears from many dealing with divorce and significant life transitions. Her advice: embrace new beginnings, even if they’re daunting. She acknowledges that divorce is difficult but affirms that it can lead to beauty and love beyond the hardship.

Years of public relationship struggles have taught Kramer that clinging to unhealthy relationships drains one’s energy and spirit. She emphasizes the importance of not losing oneself in these situations.

Kramer divorced ex-husband Mike Caussin in 2021 after six years of marriage, citing his infidelity. Despite the pain, she believes her departure prevented further betrayal. Currently, she’s moved on with Allan Russell, a former professional soccer player, with whom she shares a son, Roman. She has two other children, Jolie and Jace, from her previous marriage.

Kramer reflects on her new life: “Second chances are valuable.” She relates to the character Charlie in her film Where the Heart Lands, a determined horse trainer who embraces opportunities for renewal.

Filming in Kentucky’s horse country, an activity Kramer found rewarding, brought her into contact with racehorses, which she found both educational and inspiring. She notes horses’ emotional intelligence and the healing power of equine therapy.

The movie Where the Heart Lands stars Jana Kramer and Tyler Johnson. It tells the story of a Los Angeles real estate agent inheriting racehorses in Kentucky, leading to unexpected love.

The film, part of Lifetime’s spring lineup, is available for streaming. Directed and co-written by Haylie Duff, it features additional cast members John Schneider, Charlene Tilton, Alex Barone, and Jessica Szohr.
