The State Department has announced a $15 million reward for information on four Chinese nationals. They are accused of assisting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in acquiring U.S. military equipment and drone technology.
The individuals identified are Liu Baoxia, Li Yongxin, Yung Yiu Wa, and Zhong Yanlai. According to the State Department, they allegedly facilitated the sale of U.S. goods to front companies in China, which then transferred the technology to Iran. Iran subsequently supplied these products to the IRGC and its connected entities, such as Shiraz Electronics Industries and Rayan Roshd Afzar.
These organizations utilize U.S.-controlled technology to develop unmanned aerial vehicles, arms, and weapons systems. The manufactured products are reportedly sold to governments and groups in allied countries like Russia, Sudan, and Yemen, which violates U.S. sanctions.
Officials are encouraging those with information on illegal technology sales to report through an anonymous Tor Browser to qualify for the monetary reward.
