Young Minnesota Brothers Raise $60,000 for Veterans

Two young brothers from Eden Prairie, Minnesota, are gaining attention for their remarkable fundraising efforts in support of American veterans. Noah Dingels, 11, and Cole Dingels, 8, have been operating a lemonade stand for five years, dedicated to raising money for Tee It Up for the Troops. This national nonprofit organization supports veterans across the country.

The lemonade stand first appeared at a local golf tournament organized by Tee It Up for the Troops. This nonprofit focuses on six key areas to assist veterans, including support for PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and suicide prevention. The boys’ first attempt raised $359, inspiring them to continue their efforts. To date, they have raised $60,000.

In addition to selling lemonade, the brothers offer candy bars and golf balls. Local sponsors have supported their mission, showcasing community involvement.

Angela Dingels, the boys’ mother, describes the experience as deeply impactful. Community members, including classmates and sports teammates, frequently visit the stand to show support. During events, the brothers meet veterans, expressing gratitude for their service.

Among the veterans they meet is Harry Wisdom, a decorated U.S. Army helicopter pilot from the Vietnam War. Wisdom, now 86, once brought his Silver Star to the stand as a gesture of appreciation, solidifying a special connection with the boys.

Founded in 2005, Tee It Up for the Troops has raised over $19 million, supporting 400,000 military families. Led by Executive Director Chris LaRocque, the organization hosts 45 golf tournaments yearly and an annual event called REUNION, which reconnects veterans with lost friends.

LaRocque praises Noah and Cole’s entrepreneurial spirit and patriotism. Donations often arrive addressed to their lemonade stand. LaRocque believes the young brothers’ initiative sends a powerful message during America’s 250th anniversary—highlighting the ongoing contributions of younger generations to the country.
