WNBA All-Star Game Starters Announced

The WNBA All-Star Game on July 25 will feature 10 starting players, and Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark is among them. Her teammates, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, will also start the game in Chicago.

Voting for the starters involved fans, players, and a media panel. Fans contributed 50% of the votes, while current players and the media panel each accounted for 25%.

Clark, Boston, and Mitchell have made it to the All-Star Game for the third consecutive year. For the first time, all three players were voted as starters. Boston received starting honors in 2023 and 2025, with Clark starting the last two years. This marks Mitchell’s first time as a starter after being a replacement in 2025.

The Dallas Wings also have multiple players starting, with Paige Bueckers and Jessica Shepard selected. Natasha Howard and Olivia Miles from the Minnesota Lynx will join them. Completing the lineup are Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart from the New York Liberty, and Gabby Williams of the Golden State Valkyries.

This year introduces a new format for team selection. From 2018, the top two voted players were captains who picked their teams, except in 2020 due to COVID-19. This year, WNBA legends Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon will serve as general managers to select the rosters among the 22 All-Stars.

Caitlin Clark has had an impressive season, averaging a career-high 21.2 points per game, ranking fifth among WNBA players. She also holds the second-best average with 8.2 assists per game and continues to set new WNBA records. Recently, she became the fastest player to surpass 1,000 career points and 500 career assists.

Caitlin Clark’s achievements are particularly noteworthy given her comeback from several injuries during her sophomore season.

The 12 reserve players for the game will be announced at a later date.
