Usha Vance Discusses JD Vance’s Political Future and Family Life

Usha Vance recently spoke about the political future of Vice President JD Vance in an exclusive interview on Fox News. In a conversation with Rachel Campos-Duffy, she shared insights about their family’s move to Washington, D.C., and their dedication to public service in the coming years. Speculation about JD Vance’s prospects as a 2028 presidential candidate has been growing.

Usha Vance expressed her openness to what the future holds, stating, “Whatever it is that he feels is the right thing for him to do, we’re going to have a good time doing it.” She emphasized their intention to make the most of each opportunity that comes their way.

“We will make the best of it in the best possible way,” she added.

Usha Vance and JD Vance were present as President Donald Trump signed an executive order related to foster children and families at the White House on November 13, 2025. Despite the interest in her husband’s potential presidential run, Usha Vance maintains a focus on the present, particularly the upcoming midterm elections.

“Right now, that step is he’s really focused on the midterms,” Usha said. “And for me, it’s being focused on the things that I get to do during this four-year period.” She also noted that their family has adjusted to the changes that come with a high-profile political life.

The Vice President and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are seen as leading figures for the GOP in 2028, with polls showing varying support between them. Usha Vance also shared her advisory role to her husband, highlighting a specific piece of advice she offered: a break from social media.

“I think the best advice was to take a little bit of a social media break,” she mentioned.

She explained that stepping back from the constant stream of information gave JD Vance the opportunity to gain perspective, which proved beneficial. Usha noted that this break during Lent allowed him to receive information in more manageable ways.
