Carpentersville Rotary Blind Flights Fundraiser

The Carpentersville Rotary Club is organizing a Blind Flights beer tasting fundraiser from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 11. Located at Carpenter Park, 275 Maple Ave., Carpentersville, the event will feature local beer samples from nine establishments. Attendees can also enjoy live music and food provided by No Manches and Duke’s Blues-N-BBQ. The first 150 guests will receive a complimentary tasting glass. Tickets are priced at $40 each. Benefit Concert for Anderson Humane

A concert celebrating Anderson Humane’s 60th anniversary is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 12. It will be hosted at the St. Charles Motorcycle Museum & Art Gallery, 1317 E. Main St., St. Charles. Performances will include music by The Bare Hambones, Rishi Maze, Saturday Morning Punk Rock Club, and Little King Trashmouth. Fox River Trolley Museum ‘All Aboard Days’

Fox River Trolley Museum will host ‘All Aboard Days’ for special needs individuals from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, July 12 and August 9. Trolley rides will be tailored for sensory-friendliness. The Wayne depot will offer a sensory-friendly area and a quiet train. Attendees with special accommodation needs should contact the museum in advance. Regular admission rates apply. Free Concert at Lords Park Zoo

Chamber Music on the Fox will present The Outset Trio in a free concert from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13, at Lords Park Zoo, 325 Hiawatha Drive, Elgin. The program will feature compositions by Mark O’Connor, blending bluegrass, country, jazz, and classical music. The ensemble consists of violin, viola, and double bass musicians, stemming from their fellowship at the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, inspired by Yo-Yo Ma. Seigle Foundation Education Grants

The Seigle Foundation has awarded $356,250 in education grants to 11 nonprofit organizations. Recipients include Alignment Collaborative for Education, Boys and Girls Clubs of North Central Illinois, Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, and others. Theresa Forthofer, CEO of Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, expressed appreciation for the support which aids families by removing barriers. Family Fun Event in Elgin

The Association for Individual Development (AID) is organizing a family fun event from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 10, at Wildwood Commons Apartments, 695 S. State St., Elgin.
