Two Killed, Dozens Injured in Georgia Homecoming Party Shooting

Two people lost their lives after gunfire broke out during a neighborhood homecoming party in Georgia. The tragic event occurred on Sunday and left 35 others injured.

The shooting started around 1:25 a.m. at a party that extended over four blocks in the city of Vienna. Dooly County Sheriff Craig Peavy described the incident as a “senseless act of violence” during a press briefing. Authorities continue to investigate the attack, and no suspects have been arrested yet.

Authorities identified the two deceased victims as Ja’Quavion Aderious Jackson, 21, and Macaleb Malik Jackson, 23. The other 35 victims, aged between 14 and 51, sustained injuries with conditions varying from stable to critical.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has called for anyone with information to reach out to authorities directly or provide tips anonymously. The investigation remains active as law enforcement seeks answers.
