Following their fourth straight loss at the start of the 2026 season, the Tennessee Titans are experiencing tension among players and staff. The Titans fell 24-18 to the Baltimore Ravens in a game that began with former Titans superstar Derrick Henry celebrating in the end zone. This event added to the team’s frustrations.
The Ravens played without Lamar Jackson in the second half, allowing the Titans to narrow the score gap. However, the Ravens’ defense effectively shut down Tennessee’s 2025 first overall pick Cam Ward. His performance was visibly affected, particularly during the post-game press conference.
“The Titans livestream caught Cam Ward at the podium before the media had finished with other players in the open locker room,” a social media user posted. “An impatient Ward threatened to walk out if he had to wait longer than three minutes and tapped his fingers on the podium.”
Ward’s impatience drew backlash on social media. One user criticized his actions, stating, “3 AND 18 AND HES TIMING THE MEDIA LIKE A RESTAURANT WAIT LIST.” Another questioned, “The hell? Are you kidding me? Didn’t you just watch Lamar Jackson, man? The best football player in the league and perhaps one of the very best QBs ever, and how humble he is? Who the heck are you kid?” A third added, “Maybe walk out and practice.”
In the game, Ward completed 20 of 31 passes for 222 yards, with one interception and a touchdown. His actions during the press conference highlight the pressures and scrutiny NFL players face, especially during challenging times.
