President Donald Trump revealed plans to hold a massive rally in Washington, D.C., at the end of this month. This event marks the beginning of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. In a Truth Social post, Trump described the event as a “rally to end all rallies,” featuring guest speakers and musical performances.
“On Wednesday, June 24th, at 7 P.M., in magnificent Washington, D.C., now totally beautified, and one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the World, and in celebration of our Country’s 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER!” Trump wrote. He added that the rally will be “special at every level.” Attendees can expect a personal atmosphere with carefully chosen speakers and music.
Trump is organizing the rally as part of the DC Freedom 250 event. This announcement follows his earlier suggestion to replace a scheduled Freedom 250 concert with a MAGA rally. Recently, several performers decided to withdraw from the concert, which is part of the Great American State Fair. This fair is a 16-day event running from June 25 to July 10 on the National Mall, as part of America’s 250th celebrations.
Despite these changes, the concerts have not been canceled. Freedom 250 previously announced Trump would speak at the opening ceremony. After the lineup release in May, Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, The Commodores, and Morris Day pulled out. Nevertheless, other artists like Vanilla Ice confirmed their participation.
Vanilla Ice reiterated his commitment, saying criticism only strengthened his resolve.
Additionally, country singer Lee Greenwood will introduce Trump and perform “God Bless the U.S.A.” Opera singer Christopher Macchio will present several pieces, including “Nessun Dorma,” “Hallelujah,” “Ave Maria,” and “God Bless America.” The event will also include performances from military ensembles such as the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” Armed Forces Choir, and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
