Tim Allen’s Secret to a Long-Lasting Marriage

Tim Allen recently discussed the key to his enduring marriage with Jane Hajduk, lasting nearly two decades. In an interview with Us Weekly, Allen mentioned that their shared sense of humor has often been a saving grace in their relationship.

Allen and Hajduk married in a small ceremony in 2006. Reflecting on their relationship, Allen noted their differences but emphasized the humor they share. He recalled a time when Hajduk made him laugh during a conversation about their daughter Elizabeth’s upcoming senior year in school.

“I think a sense of humor saves us so many times,” Allen said.

He explained that despite being different—Hajduk being a good athlete and devoted Catholic—they have found common ground. Allen appreciated her influence in getting him involved in training and admired her faith stance, even though he did not formally join the church.

They began dating in 2001 and have been together since, welcoming their daughter in 2009. Allen also has another daughter, Katherine, from a previous marriage.

Jane Hajduk revealed to People that they’ve added new activities to keep their relationship vibrant, such as visiting a stretch lab and enjoying breakfast together. She stated that their longtime friendships help maintain their bond.

Allen concluded by highlighting their communication as crucial to their relationship, saying, “We talk. We do. And we’re good buddies.”
