Teen Crashes into New Hampshire Airport: Arrested on Multiple Charges

A significant security incident occurred at Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire on Saturday night. Authorities reported that a 17-year-old, fleeing from police, crashed through the airport’s perimeter fence.

The teenager, identified as Wyatt Seely from Rochester, was involved in a pursuit initiated by the police. According to New Hampshire State Police (NHSP), officers were searching for a vehicle linked to crimes in other jurisdictions when the incident happened.

At around 8 p.m., a state trooper attempted to stop a black 2008 Ford Mustang on Durham Street in Portsmouth. However, the driver allegedly escaped, leading to the crash at the airport.

The suspect was found intoxicated after the crash, authorities said.

The Mustang, which reportedly had its lights off, breached the airport’s perimeter fence. It traveled onto an aircraft parking area, where it hit a Kubota tractor and a small, unoccupied plane before stopping.

Seely was apprehended by state troopers and taken to a hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, no injuries were reported aside from the involvement of the suspect.

Authorities have charged Seely with several offenses. These include misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI), aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer, and conduct after an accident. Additionally, he faces a violation-level charge of reckless driving.

Seely is set to appear in court for an arraignment on September 9, 2026.

Local authorities, including the Portsmouth Police and Fire departments, the Newington Police Department, and Pease Fire and Emergency Services, assisted in managing the situation.
