Tate McRae Discusses Personal and Political Views Amid Music Success

Tate McRae recently addressed her perceived political affiliations after collaborating with country music artist Morgan Wallen. McRae, 23, teamed up with Wallen last year for “What I Want,” a single that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This marked her first No. 1 hit.

The collaboration led to political speculation, particularly regarding McRae’s reported relationship with NHL star Jack Hughes. The rumors intensified after Hughes laughed with team members during a phone call with former President Trump, following the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey win.

When asked about steering clear of political controversies, McRae stated that her actions reveal her values more effectively than her words. She highlighted her support for certain organizations, like the Global Fund for Women and The Trevor Project, through merchandise sales.
