A rapidly advancing wildfire sparked evacuation orders in Stevenson Ranch on Monday afternoon. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a brush fire ignited in the Santa Clarita Valley, putting homes at risk and causing concern among residents.
The blaze, named the Max fire, began around 4:20 p.m. in the Pico Canyon Park area, closely bordering residential zones in Stevenson Ranch. By Monday evening, the fire had consumed over 40 acres.
Authorities mandated evacuations for residences near Sagrecrest Circle and Chicory Court. Aerial images displayed intense flames approaching a housing cul-de-sac, prompting helicopter interventions to manage the situation. Ground teams collaborated to establish containment lines to safeguard the community.
