Only Sen. Gary Peters from Michigan attended the opening statement but left before Chairman Rand Paul commenced questioning the witnesses, Nick Shirley, James O’Keefe, and Dylan Hedtler-Gaudette.

Shirley emphasized that fraud is a non-partisan issue, as it affects all citizens, especially the most vulnerable relying on government services.

James O’Keefe shared his experiences in Los Angeles, exposing election petition circulators offering money or drugs for ballot signatures. He criticized the lack of enforcement of legal principles, stating that without enforcement, such principles become mere slogans.

Throughout the hearing, the Republicans repeatedly highlighted the absence of Democrats and expressed disappointment over their lack of participation in discussions about fraud.
