“One of the scariest risks I took was becoming a mom,” the 45-year-old actress stated. “Pregnancy brought panic attacks and anxiety. I worried about failing as a parent, fearing my self-centeredness would hinder my ability to nurture my children.”

Despite starring in “Grey’s Anatomy” and preparing for motherhood with her husband, Peter Lanfer, Drew felt overwhelmed by fear. Seeking guidance, she reached out to her father, who offered reassuring Bible verses and emphasized the importance of “aggressive gratitude.”

Drew explains, “Aggressive gratitude challenges you to acknowledge blessings despite fear. My dad advised voicing gratitude for simple things, shifting brain chemistry towards positivity.”

Practicing gratitude enabled Drew to confront her fears, turning anxiety into appreciation for life’s blessings.
