However, former NFL running back LeSean McCoy has openly questioned Clark’s sincerity. McCoy expressed his skepticism about Clark’s emotional display, suggesting it was a calculated move to garner attention. “I can’t tell you how he should vent and show his emotion,” McCoy said on his Speakeasy podcast. “I knew he was going to monetize this whole thing,” McCoy added.

Ryan Clark joined ESPN after his NFL retirement in 2015 and is now leaving after an 11-year tenure. McCoy criticized Clark, accusing him of seeking clicks and views rather than genuine expression. “That’s what he did,” McCoy remarked, indicating Clark’s desire to attract a large online audience.
