Rep. Ralph Norman Backs Sen. Darline Graham in South Carolina Senate Race

Rep. Ralph Norman, a Republican from South Carolina, announced his support for Sen. Darline Graham in the upcoming U.S. Senate general election, according to a recent post on X. He emphasized that his political struggle is not against fellow Republicans but is aimed at socialist Democrats and those within the party who support them.

Norman stated, “I respect the decision of South Carolina voters and congratulate Senator Darline Graham on winning the Republican nomination. I will support our Republican nominee in November because defeating the Democrats and protecting our conservative values must remain the priority.”

Sen. Graham, the sister of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, was appointed to her position by Governor Henry McMaster following her brother’s death in July. Her victory in the Republican nomination process was bolstered by an endorsement from former President Donald Trump.

The endorsement significantly impacted the special Republican U.S. Senate primary runoff, leading to Norman’s defeat. Speaking to the media after losing the runoff, Norman expressed his intention to support Sen. Graham as well as he can.

This week, Norman reaffirmed his stance when asked if there was a scenario in which he would campaign for or support Sen. Graham. He acknowledged her victory but expressed concern over the financial backing she received from Washington, D.C., which included support from liberal PACs and Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Attempts to reach Sen. Graham’s campaign for comments were unsuccessful, and Murkowski’s office declined to comment. Meanwhile, Dr. Annie Andrews is running as the Democratic nominee against Graham in the general election.
