President Donald Trump is set to deliver a surprise announcement from the Oval Office on Monday at 2 p.m. ET. The event will be open to the White House press pool, according to his official schedule.
During a conversation with a reporter on Sunday, Trump was asked about the announcement. He hinted that it might be linked to a meeting scheduled for Tuesday with Dario Amodei, co-founder of AI company Anthropic. Trump commented, “We’re meeting with Anthropic on Tuesday. That’s going to be significant. Tonight, I’m having dinner with the head of Anthropic. These are long days, but I manage.”
