Josh Duhamel is asking the people of Minnesota to vote in the upcoming elections. He shared a video on Instagram addressing residents of what he calls “God’s country.”
“The midterms are coming up,” Duhamel said. “This time is important. Everyone needs to vote. Minnesota is my second favorite state after North Dakota. I love it there. It’s worth saving.”
While he didn’t tell people who to vote for, he emphasized the importance of voting as a sacred duty for American citizens. “It’s a blessing to choose who makes decisions for us,” he stated. “Let’s aim for 100 percent turnout. Go Viks!”
In his caption, Duhamel urged followers to form groups and visit voting booths on November 3. He asked them to share this message widely.
Commenters had various interpretations of Duhamel’s message about the state being “worth saving.” Some inferred he meant voting red, while others encouraged voting blue.
Earlier, Duhamel listed his home in Los Angeles. This decision came after he and his family moved to Fargo, North Dakota. He also has another residence in Minnesota, where he retreats to spend time “off the grid.”
Duhamel told People magazine about his time spent in Minnesota. He finds it grounding and says, “I feel at peace. I’m always busy with something basic, like cooking or fixing things.”
He lives in the cabin with his wife, Audra Mari, and their young son. His older son from a previous marriage also visits. Duhamel cherishes these Midwest homes. He’s spent 15 years building his cabin and believes it’s essential for family bonding and passing down family legacy.
