The NFL and Roc Nation have yet to officially reveal the halftime performer for Super Bowl LXI, but predictions are leaning heavily towards Jay-Z. As of Tuesday morning, prediction markets Kalshi and Polymarket placed high odds on Jay-Z headlining the event in February 2027. His entertainment company, Roc Nation, has been selecting and co-producing the Super Bowl halftime show since 2020.
In the prediction markets, Jay-Z held a commanding lead over other artists. Kalshi gave him a 91 percent chance of performing, and Polymarket offered even higher odds. Jay-Z is not only a top-selling recording artist but also the founder of the company responsible for choosing halftime acts.
Other potential performers, albeit with smaller chances, included Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Post Malone, and Dua Lipa, as per prediction market users. Prediction markets, similar to stock markets, prohibit insider trading, but an early report from Puck mentioned that Jay-Z himself had decided to take the stage. This report cited unnamed sources.
Considering Jay-Z’s influence, the choice of halftime performer seems clear. Jesse Collins, a co-producer of the event, explained in a 2014 interview with Variety that Jay-Z makes the final decision on the show’s headliner. “It’s a decision that Jay makes,” Collins stated. “He’s always chosen correctly each year.”
Although the NFL has not yet confirmed the lineup, an announcement is likely forthcoming. Historically, halftime performers have been revealed months in advance. For instance, Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar were announced for prior Super Bowls in late September the year before their performances.
