New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump before a speech in Suffern, New York, stirring discontent from teammate Abdul Carter. Dart, at 23 years old, opened Trump’s speech with a chant, energizing the crowd with ‘Go Big Blue.’
He then introduced Trump, expressing honor and privilege in welcoming the former president as the 45th and 47th president of the United States. Dart and Trump shook hands on stage before Dart exited.
Carter later shared the video of Dart’s introduction on social media, voicing his frustration by suggesting disbelief, hinting it appeared as if it were generated by artificial intelligence. Carter’s reaction was one of disappointment and confusion over Dart’s actions.
“Thought this s—t was AI, what we doing man,” Carter posted to social media platform X.
Both Dart and Carter were drafted by the Giants in 2025 in the first round. Carter, picked third overall from Penn State, and Dart, selected 25th overall from Ole Miss following a trade-up by the Giants, are seen as key figures for the team’s future. Each demonstrated their potential during impressive rookie seasons.
Carter, at 22, played throughout the season, achieving 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and four sacks, excelling as the season progressed. However, he faced limited disciplinary actions for attendance and tardiness issues, missing an opening drive and a first quarter in separate games.
Dart started 12 of the 14 games he played, with the team earning a 4-8 record under his leadership. He completed 63.7% of his passes, totaling 2,272 yards with 15 touchdowns against five interceptions. Dart showed skill as a runner, registering 487 yards and nine rushing touchdowns from 86 attempts.
