Jamie Kennedy, known for his role in “Scream,” recently shared his thoughts on what he perceives as hypocrisy in current American politics. On his podcast, Hate to Break It to Ya, Kennedy discussed issues like the Fauci hearings and the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the episode, Kennedy expressed concern over how some people seem overly influenced by political ideologies. He described instances where people label him a “maggot” for supporting certain Republican policies, despite not being aligned with specific parties.
“For instance, if I like something that a Republican does, or Trump does, they call me not just MAGA, they call me a maggot. A maggot,” he stated.
Kennedy said he considers himself open-minded, as he sometimes supports liberal policies. He questioned how those who claim to be inclusive often exclude others based on differing ideas.
He cited an experience where he performed a comedy set to help a struggling bar during lockdown. He believed this event faced challenges due to not being state-sanctioned, unlike a nearby TV shoot. Kennedy viewed this as a double standard.
“That’s the hypocrisy,” Kennedy remarked. He emphasized that such actions lead to division, describing left-leaning critics as repressive and judgmental. He also highlighted that while right-wing individuals openly express their beliefs, left-leaning individuals claim inclusivity but often react negatively when challenged.
Additionally, Kennedy criticized those who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s murder, calling them “beyond sick.” He argued that true empathy was lacking in such responses, describing them as demanding and destructive when not getting their way.
“Why we don’t listen to you is because we don’t believe a word you say,” he said, blaming both words and actions from the left as insincere.
Emily Trainham, an entertainment editor for Fox News Digital, provided the coverage of Kennedy’s remarks.
