Jalen Hurts holds the position of quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. He joined the team in the 2020 NFL Draft following a successful college football career at the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma.
Hurts’ journey began on August 7, 1998, when he was born in Houston, Texas. He grew up surrounded by sports, coached by his father during his time at Channelview High School. Adding to the family’s sporting legacy, Hurts’ brother, Averson Jr., played college football at Texas Southern.
The Eagles selected Hurts in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and he has been a part of the team ever since. Hurts made his Super Bowl debut during the 2022-23 season, facing the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles narrowly missed victory in a 38-35 game.
The 2024-25 season saw a repeat confrontation between the Eagles and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, renewing a fierce rivalry.
